Leo's seventh month was just full of new experiences, activities, and awesomeness. He started daycare this month, began eating solids, and is officially on all fours most of the time when he's on the floor! Leo continues to have moments where he is very thoughtful and still and other moments where he is grabbing everything around him and others when he is moving up a storm on the floor. It's all fantastic, but I think my favorite times are when he's in a giggly mood and anything and everything makes him laugh. We celebrated month seven in Ithaca, where we were for Rosh Hashanah!

Hair: No more bald spot in back, but about the same amount everywhere else.
Eyes: Blue around the outside, brown around the iris - looking forward to seeing where they'll wind up!
This swing feels familiar... |
Likes: GNAWING on everything, songs with hand motions, his jumperoo, having quiet time in his crib (Sometimes he just likes to be by himself for a bit. He lets us know by being super fussy and then quieting down immediately but not falling asleep when we put him in his crib.), playing in the grass, going on the swings, when you blow kisses with his hands, pretending to eat his feet, Itsy Bitsy(that'll never change!), bread crusts, and PEACHES!
Dislikes: The transition from sleeping to being awake; he's fussy for about a minute after he wakes up and then he's all smiles. Some songs are a definite NO and when you don't feed him fast enough, he throws a fit!
Mmmm..licking my lips after some carrots. |
What's New:
Eating: Leo continues to eat a variety of foods and so far has LOVED them all, with the exception of broccoli which we mix with applesauce. We have found that the way to keep Leo happy at a restaurant is to give him a piece of bread to gnaw on. We're looking forward to experimenting with more whole foods this month, as well as protein!
Movement: Leo's sitting just like a big kid now (but not on steps yet!) and he is a pro at downward facing dog, planks, and crawling position. His main method of actual movement continues to be the worm or rolling. We might actually have to babyproof this month...

Language: Leo is all about the squeaks, squeals, and shrieks - and he now makes an "m" noise when he is really upset!
Notable: Leo really impressed us this month by adapting to daycare so well. He has a bit of a runny nose to show for it, but as always, he's in good spirits!
